MAVO2022 Schedule

Please note that the following schedule is a tentative one and is subject to change. 

This is just to give attendees a preliminary idea of the timetable at MAVO2022 on November 11-13, 2022!

**The Mastery Sessions for 11/11 will go on Sale at 8am ET on Friday, 6/24!**

MASTERY SESSIONS, FRIDAY, November 11, 2022
**PLEASE NOTE THE TIMES OF THE MASTERY SESSIONS AND THAT THEY HAVE EXTRA FEES NOT INCLUDED WITH A GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET. YOU MUST HAVE A GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET IN ORDER TO PURCHASE AND ATTEND A MASTERY SESSION. 
IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO THESE, YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER FOR THEM AND YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO DO ONE SESSION IN THE MORNING AND ONE IN THE AFTERNOON ON FRIDAY, 11/11/21.**
**REMEMBER THAT THESE SESSIONS ARE OPTIONAL. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THEM! IT'S JUST AN OPTION IF YOU'RE IN TOWN DURING THE DAY ON FRIDAY AND WANT TO ADD THESE EXTRA CLASSES ON!**

MASTERY SESSION ARE 3 OR 4 HOUR SESSIONS AND ARE LIMITED IN SIZE TO 12 ATTENDEES EACH. THEY ARE VERY PERSONALIZED AND INTERACTIVE. THESE ARE PERFORMANCE BASED CLASSES!! THESE ARE A GREAT OPTION FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO LEARN NEW SKILLS AND APPLY THEM IMMEDIATELY!!

You've gotten your voiceover training, produced a shiny new demo, built your home studio, and created a new website. Now what?

In this 3-hour Mastery Session, we will discuss how to create your voiceover business on both a financial and philosophical level. You'll learn how to:

  • Learn about incorporation, insurance, and retirement....

Cliff Zellman: "Voice Over for Automotive... A New State of Mind."

This 3-hour workshop will focus on all 3 tiers of VO for automotive. We will start with an introduction to the tiers, and which one could be best for you. We cover the 15 Points of an Automotive Script (essential) then move on to... Multiple readings! Recording! Direction! Each attendee will receive a recording of their own time on the mic. It’s fun, it’s fast and it’s a workout! And it’s NOT just yelling and selling, I assure you! You will take a way a solid understanding of VO for automotive, while dispelling many of the myths and misconceptions. Voice Over for Automotive... It’s a New State of Mind.

Scott Parkin - "Improvising in Commercial VO - Your Competitive Edge"

Scotts teaching style is a fast paced & entertaining program designed to entertain AND educate because it’s a lot  harder to be scared when you’re laughing.Scott creates a safe space  for students to stretch out and  performs with the talent as they learn  incredibly valuable tricks & techniques that demystify Improvisation for VO. With the skill sets attendees learn they can make their auditions to stand out and so theg can compete for more work.
 

 

Carol Monda - Long Form Narration: All VO genres have their glory and their challenges. Let's dive into both of these beauties and more in this intimate, intensive interaction. We'll explore the nature of this VO breed, including genres within the genre, how to nurture and sustain audience focus, in what ways it mirrors other types of VO, and where and how it diverges into its own unique style. Bring water, paper, a writing implement and your finely tuned instincts and imagination!
